Sustainable Product Design Initiative – Furniture / Industrial Designer

Curious is a collection of special design-led projects, leveraging creativity to push boundaries and explore new possibilities. Curious is seeking a designer with expertise or strong interest in furniture and/or industrial design to explore the potential of sustainable materials in developing a stool or chair prototype.

You’ll work remotely as part of a small team, with the potential to collaborate alongside 1–2 other designers working on related projects, such as wearable and packaging design.

What You’ll Do

  • - Research and experiment with sustainable materials to assess scalability and usability for furniture and product applications.
  • - Design and develop a stool or chair prototype, balancing form, function, and sustainability.
  • - Explore ergonomic considerations, material properties, and innovative approaches to furniture design.
  • - Contribute to creative problem-solving, pushing boundaries to bring the product closer to market readiness.

  • - A self-starter with experience or strong interest in furniture design, industrial design, or related disciplines.
  • - Passionate about sustainability and creating impactful solutions through design.
